Kā jau daži būs sekojuši līdzi, kaut kur tālu tālu pasaulē notiek RIAA (Recording Industry of America Association) cīkstēšanās ar cilvēkiem, kurus viņi apvaino "pirātismā". Atsauces ik pa brīdim parādās masu mēdijos, blogos un šur tur citur.
Iespējams, ka daži no jums būs arī uzdūrušies blogam, kuru piepilda, šķiet, juristu grupa, kura uzņēmusies aizstāvēt pilsoņu tiesības, kad RIAA tos iesūdz tiesā. Katrreiz, kad kaut kas notiek, tas tiek atspoguļots šai blogā Recording Industry vs People - tiek ievietotas kopijas no tiesu dokumentiem, ziņām u.c. lietām, un tiek lūgta komentētāju aktivitāte no tādām populārām vietām kā Slashdot(tehnoloģiju blogs) un Groklaw. Kuri starp citu arī aktīvi komentē tās lietas, un kuru viedokļi dažkārt ir pietiekami interesanti, lai tos pēc tam tiešām juristi varētu izmantot.
Nu lūk, un tad par kārtējo jaunāko ziņu no RIAA prāvām tika uzrakstīti komentāri, un man ļoti iepatikās attieksme, ko nodemonstrēja bloga rakstītājs, kad aprakstīja, kāpēc viņš dažus no šiem komentiem ir izņēmis:
7.no unsupported anti-lawyer or anti-judge insults (if you know of something specific that a lawyer or judge did, with which you disagree, and you want to comment fairly upon it fine, but I don't want people here denigrating the legal profession with undocumented insults; I think that is a tactic used by RIAA trolls and some other big corporations who are trying to discourage ordinary people from talking to lawyers and learning about their legal rights, or from going to court to fight for their rights, thinking the system is stacked against them; lawyers and judges are the cornerstone of the rule of law, which is the cornerstone of our democracy, and they are the closest thing we have to an equalizer in our society)
