Previous Entry Add to Memories Tell A Friend Next Entry

"Owing to media attention and our own love of technology, many retailers started Web sites without even knowing exactly why. Some were simply fearful that if they didn't go-online, they'd be missing the boat (Which boat? Don't ask). It may not have occured to them that you need a reason to start a Web site - that there has to be something you want the site to do. They only knew that everybody else had one, and that all the smart-sounding guys with big heads and skinny necks on CNBC talked as everybody absolutelly needed one."
