Jānis had went abroad, travelled a lot and now returns to his father's home fashionable and educated. Heavy peasant works no more appeal to him as well as many other things in native country. Then he meets beautiful Anna, but she sets aside the absent-minded man. After some time Jānis changes and becomes a proper hard-working man. At the end he conquers the heart of Anna.
