Kad (pirms pāris gadiem) pēdējo reizi sistemātiski lasīju par šo tēmu, konsenss manā literatūrā bija aptuveni šāds: "EI is in itself a misinterpretation of the intelligence construct [..] it is not another form or type of intelligence, but simply intelligence – the ability to grasp abstractions – applied to a particular life domain: emotions".
