nobody expects you to come back the same. however, if 2 ppl are standing together and then one leaves and proceeds strictly forward far enough, while the other remains standing patiently and waiting, theoretically they will meet again due to sphericity of the globe, and the one waiting can perceive the other as coming back

thats because only a specimen from the superior gender would know, that the moving person in your thought experiment would fall of the edge of the world
