Kanonam savi objektīvi un nikonam savi. Savietojami nav.
Latvijā, kādā tusiņā vieglāk būs atrast citu kanonistu, no kura aizņemties bateriju vai lēcu, nekā nikonistu, lai gan pēdējā laikā, Nikon arī paliek arvien populārāki.
Par Nokonu ņem vērā šo:
"The D3100 is exclusively designed for use with NIKKOR AF-S and AF-I lenses that are equipped with an autofocus motor"
Tas nozīmē, ka viņam nevar izmantot vecās, labās, lētās nikkor lēcas. Tapēc, ja pērc nikonu, tad labāk ieteiktu šo:
