Ecotourism remains under-developed in Latvia. This is partly because Latvians don't always appreciate what foreigners see in their undeveloped country and partly because the capital needed to cater to fussy Western tastes is rarely available in rural areas. It's best just to adopt a Latvian mindset and realise that one or two saunas a week are really all you need to keep clean. Failing that, there's always a lake to bathe in.
