wot I fink
to a certain extent it seems this debate on a progressive taxation system is a way of setting wage earners against each other in a little sand box set aside for us to imagine we can actually change anything essential. There should definitely be minimal or non-existent taxation on the low-paid as they have to eat (I am an old-school selfish socialist in this regard (think hyper hypocritical banker-class Fabian society) and I don't want to live in a gated community among the starving and desperate, but as for who picks up the tab, well.... it would really help if the leftists would take the time and energy and nodarbinat some grey matter into making a fuss about the maaasssiiive tax evasion of the institutional investor class - of course better a lender than a tax payer be - and would confront the admittedly uber work the banking system has done on promoting themselves in our collective subconscious and attempt to understand how they (the banks) actually work in reality, and the incredible power they have in fashioning the economy, and hence our lives, to their own advantage.
OK - that's it: peace
