Katrā ziņā man tagad kopējā bilde ir daudz skaidrāka.
Truth is we do have a problem with Kurds. It's just multi layered as with all issues in such a complex world. Most regular folks don't hate or feel anything special for the Kurds except for a section of the nationalists who because of their own nationalism based ideals made the Kurds their eternal enemies. These people tend to be militaristic and love the Turkish Armed Forces usually more than the usual citizen.
That's the first group that has issues with Kurds. The second group is the Turkish government. They are the big policy makers and are mostly controlled by the AKP. The Pro Islamist and fake pro democratic authoritarian government. The government who turns a blind eye to institutionalized rape and child marriage. The same government who openly supported the FSA and was and still is the biggest logistical and training supplier of them. The government that incited a civil war. A government which also had secret oil trade deals with the IS. Anyway the list goes on...
During the late 2000s the AKP and the Turkish government started a semi successful peace process with the Kurds to stop the hostilities. The PKK are spawned from the nationalistic and militaristic actions of the Turkish Armed Forces and elements of the Turkish government in the 80s as well as foreign factors like the USSR and other countries who supported them secretly.
Anyway the AKP did this peace process move prolly for several reasons. The first would be security since many soldiers were being ambushed and the death counts were giving them bad votes. Secondly they wanted a part of the Kurdish vote to avoid a loss in the elections. Things worked out quiet well. The AKP started putting out Kurdish slogans and even gained a little part of the Kurdish vote. They cemented their rule over Turkey with the successful 2011 elections.
What happened after was the year 2015. Where the AKP lost 57 seats in the parliament and thus the majority. This of course caused a panic in the AKP leadership since the majority is needed to pass most laws they needed. The reason why the AKP lost was due to the corruption scandals and many other obvious mistakes they did.
So the AKP pulled a House Of Cards move. They broke the peace process with the Kurds. Created tensions between the Turks and Kurds mainly through the nationalists of the MHP party. People freaked out and correlated that the actual loss of majority of the AKP in the parliament resulted in a lack of security. The AKP pushed their campaign team to advertise security and peace as their motto which resulted in a success. In late 2015 with another general election they won the majority back.
Since then Turkey has witnessed the worst suicide attacks and terror attacks in it's recent history. The exact opposite of the campaign promise happened. Instead of more security we have a lack of security. Bombings are becoming a usual thing now. We had a coup because of an internal AKP-Sect related feud. The first proper one in 30 years! Instead of being a guardian of peace we are invading our neighboring country.
So these are the saddening results of these events.
