safety, according to the Maslov`s pyramid of values, is one of essential necessities of people, it`s true. but one little additioanl point should be drawn - excessive safety can result in a state of mindless existence, which is not the most value-added form of human life, so some disturbancies in pace of everyday rhytm are welcomed and even necessary. this actually is one of the most ancient dilemmas - how to ballance stagnative safety and innovative unknownessness. may be you could help me with that?

Well, I think it's quite individual. I can't teach you how to live, because if i do, you will be living my life, not yours. The only thing I really know is how to protect myself from others. It's the most essential thing for me. Nevertheless I know almost nothing about you. You're kind of a stranger. Just passing by.

of course, and i`m not even pretending that i`m here to stay forever. but, you know, excessive self protection somethimes creates a whish to attack :) just to see how it will end. i know, that sounds quite sadistic, but that`s one of the ways.
i`m a bit surprised by your priorities! self defense as a top value? not a knowledge, wisdom, happiness, love, friends, family etc etc, but quite agressive stance of self defence? it`s interesting! doesn`t that become an obstacle? medieval history has proved castles to be the most dangerous places to hide, because everyone knows that one is hiding.. just in case :)

Sometimes it actually becomes too obsessive, but I handle things well most of the time :) On my opinion, the only negative thing about self defence is that it frightens some of the other people. That's how I find my soulmates and friends and keep them around me, never letting them go. The others just fall behind.

'to defent' and 'to keep' - those are agressive terms more appropriate for the war, not for the relations. or does that mean you are in a constant warfare with the rest of the world? quite possible, as far as my mind can grasp that. and the most funny thing about that is that nobody actually cares about your declared war-against-all. few even notice. is that waste of energy really worth the results it can bring?

It doesn't take any energy. My way of protecting myself is just not opening up to every single person, who comes on my way. The thing is that I trust almost noone, so if I don't, nobody can be sure that he or she can trust in me. I always have some kind of a back door out of all relationships.
But, of course, I also do have people, that are very important to me and that can actually hurt me.
