Kādā citā runā Guntis sajauca frāzi "there are good lawyers" ar "there are good liers". Kontekstu tas, tiesa, daudz nemainīja un zālē atskanēja smiekli. Guntim bija paveicies. Turpmāk viņu uzskatīja par vienu no harizmatiskākajiem un labākajiem oratoriem vecajā Eiropā.
