This topic has been mentioned a lot in the surveys we have asked you to complete. I am going to reveal it! Here it is. Our first topic is FREE TIME ACTIVITIES & HOBBIES.
What are you expected to do? To put it simple- tell your colleagues (peers) about what you are really interested in when the door of the school closes behind you.
Music? What genres or styles are your favourite.
Literature? (“Twilight” by Stephanie Mayer or plays of Shakespeare??? )
Hate reading? Then sport. What kind of sport and why? Or cars, IT, or fishing, or...
We would be glad if you write genuine information and it would be really nice if you could find a person with similar hobbies and share your experiences and reply...

hobbies and activities
There are many my hobbies in summer. For example – laying in sun or listen to birds. I like to ride a bike and sleep near the lake. So I spend my summer – don’t doing nothing. But sometimes I really like to work in garden. Then I do what I can to make this place more beautiful and comfortable for myself. And then I like to travel. See interesting places and things. When I get somewhere in different place I always take a picture of it. It’s like some kind of memory freezing. I like watch this pictures after my travels and remember how good it was.
I really don’t like that some of my friends all summer just have parties, one after other. Its time wasting, you don’t see anything, don’t enjoy anything, just have parties all the time.
Most of my hobbies are usual. I don’t do any extreme hobbies like others.

My hobbies.
Actually I have many things I like to do. Listen to music, be with my friends, go hunting and much more. But much of my free time goes with the training, especially boxing. I train boxing three times a week, I also train strength and running alongside.
Boxing is not just fighting and violence, as many believe, it is a very demanding sport. It requires concentration, technique, endurance, speed, agility and coordination. I boxes in Raufoss, Oppland county, we are like many have said "Norway's best club in Norway's worst premises". But we thrive very well in the club, we have a very nice environment. Many believe that the environment in a boxing club is very hard, but that is not with us, there is not one practice without laughter and here you can come as you are. All that is required of you is that you do your best.
I am one of the few girls in the club and I enjoy it very much. To train with a bunch of guys makes you tougher, and I'm going to need that when I start to go fighting. And I hope that it is not very long now, it's going to be hard, but very fun. I can not wait. But before that there are left many hard workouts, and I intend to take them, because I want to be good.

My name is Gatis. I live in Latvia. A'm 17 years old.
In free time I do a lot of sports like a basketball, football u.c. I like ride with BMX. Very much I like to sleep :D
Music? My favorit genre is alternative metal, but I also like other genres. My favorite groups are S.O.A.D, Korn, Billy Talent, and favorite groups and solists from Latvia is Gustavo, Intars Busulis, Dzelzs vilks, Prāta Vētra (Brainstorm).
From literature? My favorite writer is Jules Verne and book ''Journey to the Centre of Earth'' , but I don't read a lot. Just when I need it for school.
I am big ice hockey fan. Latvians are the best fans of the world, it's true. In 2009 world chapionship we got 7th place.

I am moust interested in outdoor life and nature. That is what almoust all og my hobbies and activities is connected to. What I like the most is to be on a wander at the mountain, in the summer time. Also I like fishing and hunting very much. I like hunting for hare the moust.
What I like about fishing and hunting is that I am not dependent to anyone else. Also you are all by your self, for hours, and I like to be on my self sometimes. And of course I like the nature adventures.
I also play football. I play centrally on the course. I play on a Girls 16- team. But next year I am going to play on a Womans-team, if I can find one in my ditrict who fits my ambitions.
I listhen alot to music. I like listhening to RNB, but also listen to a little rock and Norwegian music. I like specially a local band, called "Vazelina Bilopphøggers".
Free time activities and hobbies.
I am writing you some things what I am interesting and what I am do a free time. I tell you what is my favorite music styles and genres and of course my favorites performers. And I tell you something about my hobbies.
Actually I don’t like to hear identical music styles so I hear diversiform music styles. But mainly I hear such styles music: pop R&B, trance, rock and what not. My favorite performers from world performer are 3OH3, David Guetta, Flo Ride, and The Ting Tings and Owl City and of course I hear other performers too. From Latvian performers my favorites are Prāta Vētrs (Brainstorm), Otra Puse (Flipside), Per, UK and what not.
And now I am writing something about my hobbies. I like very much to ride a bicycle and I like swimming in summer. To speak about literature I don’t like read a book because always when I read then I am sleepy. :D I read a book when it need at school. And to speak about sport I like ice-hockey. I always watch ice-hockey when Latvian team play and I am Latvian team fan. I think everyone Latvian people like ice-hockey because it’s very engrossing sport.
And it’s all about me and my free time activities. Actually I don’t write all about my hobbies and free time activities because then story to be very long.

my hobby.
I ride motocross. It’s atypical sport for girl ,but there is nothing impossible. My free time is training and racing events, spending time with my dad in garage fixing and maintaining my motorcycle. It’s my hobby since last year and I love it. There is quote about this sport and it says all – „Someone calls it hobby,but it’s way of life..”
And it’s true, because all these stuffs like racing, training helps you to be in good form. If you want to be something in this sport , then you have to be very hardworking person. Motocross learns to be self-rigorous, focused, persevering and bunch of other traits.
Usually I train together with my friends,mostly guys,because there is only few girls in this sport. It’s not easy ,and it takes a bit of doing. I race in amateur league, competitions are located mostly in Latvia. It’s so much fun too,not only work. There is the best memories with my racing mates. Evenings before competitions, and after training gatherings. Hobby or way of life it’s still the thing I do when the school doors closes.

My free time after school is really satiated so it’s easy to talk about it. The greatest thing what I love to do after school is sleeping, because it’s tiresome sit all day in desk with books and listen to teachers, but that isn’t the main.
The first thing, what I would like to speak about when we are talking about free time activities are sports. I have played volleyball since I remember myself. It takes the biggest part of my life. Beach volleyball is great way how to relax in summer and get a nice suntan without an effort. I like to watch sports too. I’m the biggest fan for our guys in our Latvian ice hockey teem and Dinamo Rīga. I like to watch track meet, figure skating and tennis, also.
I’m the nature lover. I always grab an opportunity to go out. And it doesn’t matter if I go out alone, with my dog or with crowd of friends, it’s always reassuring. I like to stop and enjoy fresh air and different landscape. When I’m outside I like to take pictures. There are too many colors and too many beautiful moments to memorialize that all.
There are a lot of things i like to do, but that’s not so important like these. They make my life like a little adventure.
Hobbies
Well, about hobbies and free time activities we can mention loads of things. But in my top list are usual things like music, sports,hanging out and more.
But I like spend time playing computer games and I really like play card games. My favorite game is poker and some of latvian card games. I like folk dance.
My hobbys are books too. My favorite book is The Hobbit (J. R. R. Tolkien). Last year I red many of Stephen King books. And I just can’t live without television :D
Of music I like listen to R&B, classical and soul music. Modern rock too :)
By the way I am active people. At least I am trying to be. But sometimes I like just sit and watch thru the window. Especially when it rains.
In weekends I just can’t sit at home. Allmost every weekend I go to disco or some place like that. Of course with my friends.

I really like theatre, so I attend theatre lessons, for six years now. Every year I wait for theatre lessons with big excitement. One of my favourite things is music too. I like listen Russian music and relax. Then I forgot every problem and all world. But in summer there are more free time and more facilities for my hobbies. For example – I really love to do gardening. All what connected with flowers, nature and plants is my heart activity. More in summer I love to swim, walk and take sunbathing.
The thing I mostly hate is skiing, running and snowboarding. Actually, I hate all sport activities. So I’m not sporty person.

Free time activities and hobbies
I don't really have a lot of hobbies or free time activities after the school. I more the lazy type. I like to listen all kind of music except for rap. I don't consider rap as music. My favorite groups and singers are Linkin park, Nickelback, Papa Rouch, Simple plan, Mcfly, Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, Michael Jackson and there also few groups and soloist i don't like but they have few good songs i like. I also like to listen Mozart.
I also enjoy reading a lot. My favorite books are Harry Potter and also Artemis Fowl. I don't read only books but i also like to read Manga. Manga are comics originally published in Japan. There many kinds of manga, manga has no restrictions so it can be written about completely anything, for example, about boys Love (Homo), girls love, some might be too extreme ( with lots of violence, blood and gore), romance, science-fiction, fantasy and other things that you might not even see in movies.
I also like watching movies and Anime (Japanese Animation is usually based on manga or light novels). I like to watch Comedy , spoof movies , Action movies and i also like to watch documentary films.
I don't like doing sports but i don't hate sport. I like sometimes to watch sport games like football and basketball.

This text will be about what I like and dislike doing in my spare time.
As many other students much of the free time goes to homework and preparation to school.
I think it can be a little fun sometimes, but if there is too much it will become boring.
Something I’ll always have loved to do in my free time is to practice handball, and I still do.
I have been practice handball in 12 years, and it will be more.
Today I also have handball as a studium at Lena.
I also like to be outside.
If the weather is good and you have the right people with you it’s almost magical.
Some days in the wood or mountain can be good and relaxing.
The nature in Norway is something everybody should have seen and experienced.
In the end I think I have to mention something I do not like to spend my time in.
I think it is a bit difficult to find something that I can say I hate, but I do not like to clean.
So I do not think I will be a good housewife in the future.
Hopefully thing will change before that time, but as my mother say; “You never know?”
My hobbies
I like sleeping after school, before school and sometimes at school. I read books because books help me relax, to fall asleep or to get to know other cultures and lands. I like reading magazines about science too. The TV belong me when Latvians take a part in different sport activities. For example, ice-hockey (Dinamo Riga), basketball games, football, track and field, etc.
I play guitar. It’s my hobby since last 2 years. I amn`t a professional, even good amateur not. But always is possibility to make better my skills and reach the good amateur level. Of course, I would like to play in the band but it’s my far destiny. I like to drive a car. When you are driving you see amazing nature – beautiful landscapes. At the worst, you may see the wild animals on the road.
To sum up, I wrote of my main free time activities. I remember, for example, I like eat very much. I don’t do any extreme hobbies because I like my hobbies and lifestyle.

After school i have many facilities what can i do, but i choice one, and it is dancing but in holidays i am hell-bent with partys.
I tell about dancing. I dance in group „Creeps”. My group style is hip-hop and street dance mix! I choose this style because i like dance fast with temper, and i can show myself everybody. I have to training every day, because i want take a part in some competition. When come holidays my phone ring and ring and then i know, that i have to go to party, i likes partys because i can show there how i dance, and spend holidays wiht fun.
Its some small part of my hobbies, and in one time its very hard tell all my hobbies.

FREE TIME
In my free time I like to doe a lot of different things. Both outside and inside activates. I like to spent time with other people, but I also spent a lot of time in my own good company. I live on a boarding school, and this I quite nice and interesting. Since I live on my own I have to wash my cloths, my room (and of course myself) and other housework have to be done. I like to listen to music to, I have a rich taste of music, all from to classic to rock. I also grow flowers, the Chinese have a proverb wich says: if you want to be happy a day, get drunk. If you want to be happy for a week, slaught a pig. If you want to be happy fore a month get married. If you want to be happy for the rest of your days, grow flowers!
What I really dislike to doe in my spear time is doing homework, school would not have been so bad if it had not been fore the homework, and the bestial time to start on in the morning. So homework is the worst thing I doe! I am not a fan of sport in any form or way, I see that many of you use a lot of your free time on sport, something I personally don't find any intereasting.
I am not the most sporty person in the world,but I try to go to the gym at least twice a week.On Mondays our schoolday ends early,so I go training directly after.The gym I go to lies just a few metres away from the school,so I can fit in a training session on Wednesdays,when I have a couple of free periods in the middle of the day.I often intend to train more,but once I am back home from school it can be hard to find the motivation to go.
I usually end up hanging out with my friends,going to the mall or sit in front of the PC or Tv instead.
I like to watch shows such as "That 70's show",Grey's anatomy and criminal minds.I also watch a lot of films,preferably horror movies.My best friend is not a big fan of them,but I manage to persuade her anyway.I think I am responsible for quite a few nightmares there:)
I love listening to music.I have a varied taste,and listen to almost anything from Britney Spears and Rihanna to Linkin Park and Metallica.If I could afford it I would go to concerts all the time.Green Day just played in Norway,and I am green with envy for those who got to see them live.One of my favourite bands is Muse,and they are coming to Norway later this month.I wish I could be there,but unfortunately I will have to settle for wearing out the live DVD instead.

Hi! My name is Sondre, I live on a farm in a village near Lillehammer in Norway. Here I live with my mother, my father and my sister. On our farm we have lot's of cows, and three cats. My free time and holidays I often spend at home helping out my dad. Often I feed and milk the cows. Sometimes it is tractor driving too, that's what I like best!
Of course I don't use all my time helping my dad, I have fun with friends too. And once in a while we have a party.
I am not listening to music very often, but when I do I listen to country and rock. My favourites is Creedence Clearwater Revival, Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler.
I don't exercise very much but I used to play football, but I quieted couple of years ago instead I am skiing bout cross-country and downhill skiing.
Here in Norway we got plenty of snow in the winter, about a meter. So in the winter, I spend many hours behind the steeringweel plowing snow off roads. My hobby is rebuilding old motorcycles called Tempo.

Free time activities and hobbies
Each day I ride my horse, give her food, remove the dirt from her box, takes her out and in and also clean some of her equipment. It's a lot of work with horses and I'm really glad that I have something to do in the sparetime. I love to be around horses!
Other things I like to do is to take pictures, listen to music, be on the computer and much more. In a few weeks, I also have got my very own puppy so that will be a lot of work! I'm really looking forward to it!

In my spare time which is usually after school, I like to focus on my interests which among other things, is to work with animals, train, have a good time with my friends, driving tractors and otherwise make life easy. I live at a farm, where we have sheeps, horses, cats and my to dogs. They are my main focus. They are both Border Collies, father and daughter. Since we have sheeps on our farm, I train my dogs to be good shepherd dogs, who can help me to make the work a little easier. But I already have ideas, well thoughts for the future, in fact already in the spring. Then I will try to go a use test, I need this to compete in other competitions, with the oldest dog, Leo, and if I work hard enough I'll maybe be able to go the same test with the youngest dog, Cherokee. This is my goal with the dogs, I hope we will make it :) My motivation to continue, even when it looks guite dark, is when I see improvement. Besides that, I have in fact time for other things, like driving tractors. And like most tractor lovers I have a favorite tractor, and it is of course Fendt! Unfortunately we don't have this tractor on our farm, it hurts..
Well, I am also interested in issues related to the world, that is among other things, sustainable development. I am not quiet in the whole politic world, and to be honest it doesn't really matter to much for me, but I do always have an opinion about sertain things me and my friends are talking about during discussions and conversations, espesially in class
I am not going to write what I don't like to do in my spare time, because I love my spare time, nearly as much as I love my school :)
When it comes to what kind of music I listen to, it really depends on what mood I'm in.

In my spare time I usually am with friends, but I use much time in the stable, with animals and horses. My own horse`s name is «Never Mind», he is 11 years old and I use him on dressage competition.
What i like to do with my friends is to go shopping and watch movies, we try to meet each other often when I am home from the school in the weekend. I live on a farm with a lot of animals, we have horses,a cat, rabbits and many cows, so it takes much time when I help my father on the farm, but I really like to do it. Sometimes I drive a tractor to get food for the animals, and sometimes I help my father to milk the cows, and I help and train my sisters and a friend of me when they ride their horses.
After school I`m in the stable, and I give food to my horse, ride him and Ido common stable work.
After that I usually am with my friends there, talk with people , do my homework and sleep if I have more time.
It is what I often do in my spare time.

My favourite hobby is riding my horse. I've got a 16 year old x-trotter who just love to trott. Well, I want to talk about the theme riding.
Riding is a sport who takes a lots of time and patience. The feeling of having control over those enormous horse powers, its just uniqe and unexplainable. When you ride a horse, you must always remenber that it's a living animal. Never be to hard, or too gently. You must learn the horse how to respect you, in a gently way. I'm not going to write all i know about horses, because it is al lot random. When i write random, i meen a lot of stuff i've just picked up here and there. Nothing much to talk about I guess.
Well, as I was going to write. I have a red – brown horse named Eden's Kark. He is a 16 year old gelding. He doesn't know all the signs when i ride him, but he learns quickly! When he starts galopping, the world around me flash away. It's just me, my horse and the road in front of us. If you haven't tried it by you're self, you dont know the feeling. It's just the two of us, against the rest of the world.
Riding isn't my only passion. I also like music and I just LOVE to sing : ) Can't say I'm any good, but who cares? My shower head is very impressed!
My favorite band is Sonata Arctica, but a also listen to pop and some heavy metal.
Well, I wrote something aboute me, and my hobby. Maybe some about my feelings, but who cares? As long i get to be me, and nobody else, I'm happy!

in my spear time after school i like to wourk on my cars and driv evrithing with an engine under the bonit, buht i like my cars at moest and i wudent think that i gad eniting if i not hav had them to work on. i have had at least one car sins i was tvelv an i am always vone have one that i kan du some smal things on so i thing it louk beater. i do live on a farm an thin its the best plase to live on eart rigt now an i mis my home al weak, and at home i have a gehrman shepard that i mis hole the weak and i haets to leave him ven i have to go to school. i also have sheaps at the farm i live on an i likes them to and i vill maby have somwon eaven if my parents vant to cuitt. 158 i do also like traktors and then it is valtra that i like the most and i think its realy fun to drive and do difrent tings with it, i also like to drive forest macins and that is hvat i vant to do for a living hven im finist white school.
