Roberto Bolanjo gan ir gudri izdarījis, tikai pēc vairākām lappusēm atklājot varoņa portretu (ka viņam ir melna ādas krāsa). Jā, protams, līdz tai vietai es viņu biju iztēlojusies kā balto. Pēc tam nekādu problēmu, mierīgi pārslēdzos uz melnādaino. Tas droši vien liecina par manas ierobežotās iztēles spējām, arī tāpēc, ka man apkārt nav dažādu ādaskrāsas cilvēku, lai gan man gribētos sevi dēvēt par kosmopolītu un multikulturālu cilvēku, jo man patīk satikt dažādus cilvēkus. Un ne tikai tāpēc, ka eksotika vai kas tāds. B
