culture for an individual is that which keeps one from acting out of fear and greed in an unconstrained or lawless environment. if there is nothing that serves such a purpose for a human being, that human is not much more than a dumb animal. even more so if such laws as exist do not contain such behavior, because that signifies malevolent intent and that makes you worse than an animal. it is unfortunate that exposing conditions barely exist in the present and it requires a tremendous personal effort and willpower to realize or even imagine oneself outside of the everyday boundaries. in effect, there is very little that reveals such inner workings of a person and it is very easy for an animal to fake culture and be accepted in the modern society. power does not entail strength. intelligence does not entail culture.
