I think that one of the things that patriarchal religion or the founders of patriarchal religion realized was that there were two ways to control people.
One was to cut off and marginalize and demonize sexuality.
And Wilhelm Reich, of course, wrote at length about the result of orgasm denial and how he felt that that this kind of patriarchal perversion of natural sexuality was what led to Hitler's Germany and and to the kind of abusive sexuality that that takes over often in patriarchal societies.
But the other was to control death, control sex and control death.
And, and you now cut off people from their ancestors.
And every Indigenous culture has this relationship with the ancestors.
They're there watching over you.
They're there to try to help you.
You have a continuing relationship.
And all of a sudden, no, you don't.
You have to go see the priest if you want to understand what to do spiritually.
You have no direct access.
And I think by controlling sexuality and by controlling death, they created this powerful engine for controlling societies and turning them into war machines that that help them to acquire massive wealth and power.
And I, I kind of think you're seeing that right now in the world as Christian nationalism has become so powerful in America.
And you have, it's just riddled with abusive sexuality and with this, this denial of love.
