In order to feel a deep connection with the feminine aspect of the divine, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa sometimes dressed in women's attire and engaged in activities traditionally associated with women. This behavior was seen by his followers as a manifestation of his intense devotion and his belief in the universality of the divine, transcending conventional gender norms.
