First heard this [Bad Moon Rising] at Iain's in 1986 and it felt like there was a wild animal in the room - we had just started with the sticks and strings, and the post-jam/rehearsal in the Norfolk countryside was wet and windy (the seasons always affected the songs we made - just like the climate affected, I'm sure, Sirke's earlier music - I can't imagine it coming from anywhere else - the snow on the prole blocks, the sludge melting from the winter boots in the corridor - once you get more pro and geared to an audience, you lose that connection with nature and your surroundings). The wife had left a cassette of it in the car stereo (old Mazda) last night, and, minute by minute it had me hauled away up and out of the morning traffic. Hadn't heard it for decades - what bliss - room for your imagination, and a soundscape with the drizzle and wild gusts of Norfolk youth - feck it I miss those days: still, never mind.

Ne tikai. I think it is the best they ever did - the rest sounds tamed in comparison.
