On the other hand, it may be something to do with the fact that in conversations, but only when speaking English, I for some unfathomable reason unconsciously, but quite actively, try to copy the accent and speech pattern of whomever I am speaking with, even if I clearly recognize their speech as quite twisted and almost unintelligible.
