Un, ja tu izsistu šajā čaumalā caurumu (vai atrastu durvis), varbūt pa šo atveri Visuma beigās ieplūstu spoža gaismas straume? Varbūt tu paskatītos ārā un atklātu, ka mūsu Visums ir tikai daļa no viena atoma uz zāles stiebra? Varbūt tu justos spiests domāt, ka, sadedzinot zariņu, pārvērt pelnos veselas mūžību mūžības? Ka esamība ir nevis viena bezgalība, bet bezgalīgi daudz bezgalību?

Tāpēc, ka "planētas glābšana" rada varas, rīcības, cildenuma apziņu. Turpretī "neļausim, lai planēta mūs iznīcina" izraisa cilvēkos izmisuma un nevarības sajūtu, parāda mūsu nabadzīgo un ierobežoto spēju patiesos apmērus.

There's no point to any of this. It's all just a... a random lottery of meaningless tragedy and a series of near escapes. So I take pleasure in the details.
