Humans should be like bees - if they kill someone they die themselves.
I'm liking this world view, YYYYYYYY. :)
Bees don't die if they kill. Their stingers have barbs as an overkill measure, to eviscerate on top of poisoning. Human skin happens to be the combination of thickness and elasticity for the barbs to get stuck - much like having a saw-bladed or barbed bayonet would rip internal organs apart but make withdrawal difficult and result in losing precious seconds of combat-readiness. Bees die if they are up against the incomparably more powerful, i.e. us - which they can't even kill. If they're up against what they routinely kill, other insects - they don't die. They stab them multiple times and live happily ever after. Which is pretty much where humans are at, too.
