I went today to my former alma mater's library and, strangely, found
Cimdiņa un Ceplis' publications in a Pisa academic journal. In good English.
She must have caught a wind of maccartism of sorts getting fashionable again, for, a member of LPP/LC [grose!] herself, she is suddenly all into studying resistance and collaborationism in Soviet era [safe, farish away enough] Lat. literature. And Ceplis fought for his international publication points heroically too - with "Concept of resistance in contemporary Latvian historical novel". Attempted to create an impression that something like that develops here as a genre, which is clearly a lie.
I was unconvinced. Appreciated the translator thou.
Or maybe it's "A killer whale snatches a veteran trainer from a poolside platform at the Florida park [as]officials say".
