11:11 am: Maikls Maklūrs bija viens no pirmajiem psihedēlijas sludinātājiem. 50.to vidū Ginsberga apgādībā Sanfrancisko bohēmā sācis savu dzejnieka un dramaturga karjeru ar tam laikam tipiskiem bīt-pacifistiskiem dzejoļiem, viņš drīz vien pievērsās eksperimentiem ar psihedēliskajām vielām, cerot tādējādi panākt pilnīgāku garīgo brīvību. Autobiogrāfijā "The Mad Club" par tiem viņš raksta: "They taught me the separate consciousness of my being... I am aware of the creature that is stomach and the one that is solar plexus and the one that is brain and chest and all the fragmented creatures of my being that form the totality... In reading biology I hope to make discoveries that will liberate man to exist in timelessness and a state of superconsciousness," yadda, yadda.
