the banana had to die
i ate a banana last month
i put the peel in the trash
the banana used to be alive
but its husk rots in a landfill
it was once a thriving creature
and nobody cared that it was gone
its feelings are gone forever
but its memory lives on
our memories create the universe
and history records
the fucking banana had to die
braving teeth and swords
no one will ever care
how that banana felt
not now or in a trillion years
the universe just melts
