Domāju, ka var diezgan drošticami prognozēt - covid infekciju skaitu Latvijā tādā absolūti zemā līmenī noturēt bezgalīgi nevarēs. Neko tādu unikālu Latvija nav izdarījusi, un līdzšinējais superzemais infekciju skaits pamatā ir vienkārša veiksme. Covid Latviju tā īsti nav vēl sasniedzis.
Tad, protams, ir visi šie ļautiņi, kuri saka - viss jau ir cool, nekādu drastisku ierobežojumu jau nav, nekāds lokdauns Latvijā nav. Viņi drusku piemirst par tādiem pamatīgiem ierobežojumiem kā pašizolācija, iebraucot no "bīstamām" valstīm. Varētu jau arī pavaicāt, kā tad Latvija bez drastiskiem ierobežojumiem panāca covid neizplatīšanos, bet citām valstīm tas kaut kā nav izdevies.
Taču es gribu pacelt citu jautājumu. Proti, kad covid infekciju skaits Latvijā pieaugs - kādus ierobežojumus Latvijas valdība ieviesīs? Vai tie būs zinātnē balstīti? Vai tie neradīs nesamērīgu kaitējumu? Vērojot līdzšinējo veikumu un valdības PR izdarības, mani māc bažas, ka nekas skaists Latviju negaida. | | 10:01a |

But considering how things could have gone, and looking around Europe, it seems that we’re doing well.”"
