It's a nice article, but I do think optimism is simply trust in God's will. So if it doesn't work out it's not anyone's fault in particular, it would be sinful/erroneous to believe that.

And yeah, pessimism is seeing human condition for what it is, and should be used only as repentance, it should not be an end.
