My dear students, welcome back to our blog!
This topic has been mentioned a lot in the surveys we have asked you to complete. I am going to reveal it! Here it is. Our first topic is FREE TIME ACTIVITIES & HOBBIES.
What are you expected to do? To put it simple- tell your colleagues (peers) about what you are really interested in when the door of the school closes behind you.
Music? What genres or styles are your favourite.
Literature? (“Twilight” by Stephanie Mayer or plays of Shakespeare??? )
Hate reading? Then sport. What kind of sport and why? Or cars, IT, or fishing, or...
We would be glad if you write genuine information and it would be really nice if you could find a person with similar hobbies and share your experiences and reply...
How to become a blogger?
Ask your teacher or find the first entry – 22nd April 2009.

FREE TIME ACTIVITIES & HOBBIES.
My name is Līva. I’m 16 years old.
I live in small village called Plāņi. My only concern though, is that there really isn't anything fun or interesting to do, but I always find away to do something fun.
Things I like to do:
I like to watch english movies.( For me, the best way to learn English has always been watching films, cartoons, tv shows and certain tv channels. Since I was little I watched disney channel and despite I didn't understood a word I kept watching and now I see that it was a good thing to do. )
If I have some free time during the week I also read a book.( I've read the books Twilight, New Moon,and Eclipse, now I'm reading Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. )
I like taking long walks on the beach in summer and I like watching the seasons change.
I like listening to music.
Take a walk in the rain.( I like it very much because every time you close your eyes and feel the raindrops on your face, it feels like you are free from your worries and streesful days. Its something magicall about it that I couldn't explain.)
Suprise someone, because I like when people are happy and I like the look on their face as they realise that you cared about them. I like the smile on their face, because when you're smiling, the whole world smiles with you.
Sleep under the stars in warm summer days.
Look at stars every night from my window.
Go outside and lie on the grass in hot summer days.
My favorite hobby is singing, acting, and dancing!
Go to a cinema.
Write a poem or somethind elss.
Watch the sunset.
Take photos of my family and friends.
Email friends or talk with them on skype.
And remember -whatever makes you happy, make time to do it and do your best to brighten the lives of others.

I also like to watch American movies and think it is a good way of learning English. Are movies in Latvia dubbed on TV or do you have subtitles?

I'm happy to hear that we have something incoment. What kind of american movies do you watch? Where do you prefer to watch movies: at home or in the cinema?
Well in Latvia we can watch ,for example, German, Russian or American movies with Latvian subtitles.
