While in prison, a reporter asked him if he had any regrets. He mentioned one murder, in which his victim was praying as he was about to kill him. He told the man that he would give him a half hour, and if God came down to save him, then he would get to live. He waited a half hour, and when nothing happened, killed the man. Reflecting back on it, he said that it was rather sadistic.
