Let's say you see a fairly sizable gang of heavily armed rough-looking folk of all kinds of humanoid ethnicity beating and battering an old and enormous Black Dragon. The gang has been badly roughed up but are somehow alive. The Black Dragon will surely die if you do not intervene.
