Tā nav substitūciju metode. Substitūciju metode būtu:

I -> x = 2y - z + 5 un ievieto III (x aizstāj ar = ...)
III atrisinot -> z = -6 - 8y un ievieto II
II atrisinot -> y = -1

un tad y = -1 ievieto z = -6 - 8y -> z = 2
un beigās no x = 2y - z + 5 -> x = 1

Nu apmēram tā.
