 'How do we distinguish between the voice of intuition and the voice of a deep desire?'

 The voice of intuition is more of a deep 'knowing' that is not attached to any emotion. But fears or desires will be emotional.

 'I remember the song lyric, 'You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you'll find, you get what you need.' Desires are wants. Intuition tells us what we need.
