The only way to assert power nowadays is to be hypocritical and get away with it. If you can't do this then 'owning' Twatter means nothing.
At the end of the day Twatter is there for its users. Journalists are only a minor part of that. When I go on Twatter now, I see only tweets from people I follow, i.e. the tweets that made me want to have a Twatter account in the first place. I'm a happy customer. Although also one who blocks ads. Sorry Elon, but perhaps you'll just have to fire some more people.
