Decided to ride the bus to another commune today. Hadn't gone on a bus for many years. Today I was reminded exactly why that is. After a couple of stops 10+ people walk in. This is a bus stop in a smaller town in buttfuck nowhere. A typical rural Swedish town - you would think. However, every single one of these new passengers were Middle Eastern/African. Not a single Swede among them. This trend continues for the entire journey. Out of the 20+ passengers on board about three or so (myself included) were actually Swedish. I crank up my earphones and zone out. I never ride the bus usually so I just try to focus on other things. No big deal. Right?On the return trip back to town more Arabs swarm in. One of them decides it is a splendid idea to let everyone else know how great and wonderful Arabic music is by blasting that shit on full volume from his (probably) stolen phone. The few Swedes on the bus start to shift in their seats and look over their shoulders with a big question mark on their faces. Meanwhile I'm listening to Slayer to drown that retarded garbage out and just watch this spectacle unfurl. One bald Swedish pensioner starts banging against the glass a few times to show his frustration - to little avail. A couple of MILFs and their bloated husbands try to have a conversation with the YALLA YALLA blaring through the bus. They laugh nervously but their tolerance start to wane by the second. The bus driver - the Arabic bus driver - acts like nothing's wrong. More and more Arabs mill in and every one of them knows the other apparently. It's like a goddamn tribal meeting in there. An African rocket scientist begins to shout his profound Somalian philosophies to the person sitting right next to him. Even Slayer on full fucking blast in my earphones can't cancel his guttural hollering out.
I sit there in this melting pot and just ponder at the state of things. Once again my utter loathing for public transportation is reaffirmed but I was also reminded how clueless my country really is, and how neck-deep in shit it is. The same people now bewildered and scandalised by the raucous Arabs on the bus were the same ones who let them in by voting for multi-culturalism. They voted for it again and again and again.
Fuck 'em. Fuck 'em all.
