9/11 terrorist grins on holiday planeFlight AT811 (Royal Air Maroc) from Frankfurt to Casablanca. Mounir el Motassadeq (44) is smiling
He was the first convicted 9/11 terrorist and was imprisoned for 15 years in Hamburg. Yesterday, Mounir el Motassadeq (44) was deported to his home country of Morocco. On a holiday plane!
At 6.03pm, Royal Air Maroc flight AT811 to Casablanca departed from Frankfurt Airport with the terrorist on board.
Motassadeq had been a member of the so-called “Hamburg Cell” of death pilot Mohamed Atta, who steered one of the two planes into the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11, 2001.
Motassadeq knew the attack plans and allegedly managed the attackers’ finances. He was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment for complicity in murder in at least 246 cases (the number of people who died in the four planes that were crashed on September 11, 2001) and for membership in a terrorist organization.
