Turklāt izskatās, ka Aplbauma paliek indīgāka -

- cik reizes kopš 2016. mēs esam dzirdējuši, ka status quo apšaubītāji ir globalizācijas “lūzeri”? Kas, protams, sniedz Aplbaumai mierinājumu un baudījumu rakstīt no (btw trampiskās) “winning” pozīcijas.
Galu galā viņa visu laiku pinās, jo, izrādās “Some of us, in Europe and North America, have settled on the idea that various forms of democratic and economic competition are the fairest alternative to inherited or ordained power“ - bet kad kāds viņu un viņas vērtības brīvā un demokrātiskā sāncensībā izaicina un nomaina, tad, nē, tad ir slikti un tie, kas nāk vietā ir tie dusmīgie, ļaunie, atpalikušie, lūzeri utt.
