The price of Nutella could be on the rise due to a global shortage of hazelnuts caused by a washout of crops following bad weather. The cost of hazelnuts has increased by more than 60 per cent already this year after hail storms and frost obliterated crops in Turkey, where about 70 per cent of the world’s hazelnuts are harvested.
