GARFIELD--Funeral for Mella Dickey Gay, 69, was held Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating. Burial was at Hebron Cemetery of Garfield.
She died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at Memorial Medical Center of Savannah.
Mrs. Gay was born in Jenkins County and was a retired quality control inspector for Thompson Company. She was a Baptist. Her husband, Charlie H. Gay preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Charlie H. Gay III of Millen; one sister, Mary Hazel Sharp of Eden; two brothers, John Edward Dickey Jr. of Garden City and Jimmy E. Dickey of Pembroke; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Kenny Dickey, George Robert Dickey, Raymond Dickey, Arnold Deal Gay, Donnie Gay and Ricky Dickey.
Crowe-Fields Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. |
