Unfortunately it is completely unreliable as most people think they know the definition (we have seen it countless times before), but unless you check it, you won't know if you are using it right (for example I thought I knew what "prurient" meant - I had obviously, as many people do, thought it was similar to "prudent". I was shocked to see it means obsessed by lustful thoughts).

Therefore, with this test you can only say with certainty that most native speakers THINK they know 27,000 - 35,000. What they actually know requires a different test.
