rakstiishu angliski - noguris esmu - it's interesting about offshoring in a country with a strong union presence. I'm not sure if it would be quite so easy for a Swedish firm to employ its firms via an offshoot based in another country - worth researching if I ever get the time.

As far as what the ES court decided, well it doesn't alter the fact that it is still an erosion of what those Swedish trade unions have been fighting for (and which as a former manual worker myself, I fully approve of - we are not all childless wanna be graphic designers (labi, es zinu, ka tas ir mazliet iedomiigi, bet ka jau teicu - esmu noguris;)). My main point, or rather question, is that if our strategy to living in a failing state (and at which point it becomes a failure is largely personal) is to just leave, then we are (nu labi -es apgalvoju, ka tas bija jautājums: tā tad 'then are we..." exporting the consequences of our collective apathy to states where labour attempts to cut a better deal for itself?

As it is, the way I see it, Latvia nowadays is comparable to an out of the way pašvaldība: legislation largely dictated by EU directives, economic policy largely dictated by the IMF. I can expand on this - but ne tagad: laiks gulēt.
