I am quite old and reasonably experienced in these matters (I like to think), so ex-pats, this is for you: stop hanging around with other ex-pats and congratulating yourself on your superiority to the locals... and.. learn the fecking language - the place might come alive for you.  The more you learn,  the more intelligible,  intelligent and nuanced local people become to you..

Bla bla bla ... Jūs dabūjāt bildi, vai nē? Tad domāju, kā es varu runāt (I am doing this on purpose by the way)? Esmu šeit gandrīz 14 gadus, un joprojam nemāku krievu valodu (nū... mazliet zinu, bet ļoti mazliet) - un līdz ar to viena liela daļa no sabriedības ir joprojam... kā lai saka... wordless to me.

Ir laiks: tā tad, kāds te nevarētu ieteikt kādu labu (saprotošu) pasniedzēju? (kadreiz pats būtu zinājis, bet es vairs nestrādāju šajā sfērā)
