...the shutter sound is quite loud for such a small camera, but that's common in Japanese cameras; there are perverts here (in Japan) who like to hold their cameras under the skirts of high school girls on escalators and trains, the loud shutter discourages this practice. Even my Japanese cell phone has an absurdly loud shutter which can be heard across the room.
