Blessed Sister Maria Kafka was a Franciscan nun & nurse. She was arrested by the gestapo & executed for refusing to remove crucifixes from her hospital & for dictating a poem mocking Hitler. In prison she wrote: “It does not matter how far we are separated from everything.”
