Reizēm es nevaru vien beigt priecāties par tiem, kurus esmu izvēlējies saukt par draugiem. Viņu domas mēdz būt spīdošas un darbi runā paši par sevi.
Ap vieniem naktī Dzenjubērns
Plain and harsh as it might sound, we are amongst idiots. Today for this brief moment I do not fear that word - we truly are. In this situation it doesn't matter whether you are one of them or not - you are assumed to be.
It doesn't matter if you know, you are still asked to learn. You are REQUIRED to - to spend the currency that can never be refunded on another copy of what you will never need two of.
So much effort needed to become what you want nothing in common with and earn a paper to prove it.
You sit there, your rage growing. If it ever shows... oh god no, it mustn't. Not while still among them. Their interpretation would trigger a disasterous loop of increasingly maddening mental activity.
We are looked down upon - given tasks not to uplift but to level.
They do all this and seem to exhibit the feeling of accomplishment. Do they really think they learn, is their satisfaction genuine? How can it be?!
How can YOURS? How can you learn, how can you grow and fulfill your potential in a place like this? Time doesn't wait and enthusiasm withers.
Who will return my years, who will give me the strength that is taken. Who of us has an infinite pool of effort?
The top grade is worthless, its a joke. It grants you nothing over the shit one. The goal we are set lacks ambition, it is simply to keep existing - not to thrive.
Outward bumps on the road of education are flattened by the steam roller that is school. Perhaps it is needed, perhaps not. Perhaps the new world is to blame for planting impatience in the young. A characteristic that when coupled with fantastic imagination and faith grows into overall restlessness and hateful intolerance of such critical delays.
Objectivity cannot be preserved forever, not without occasional interruption.
So I write the following off as just that.
Without a doubt, this is not a sanctuary of knowledge, but rather a graveyard for potential.
