Keane has canceled its fall North American tour while singer Tom Chaplin undergoes rehabilitation for drug and alcohol addiction. The trek was due to begin Sept. 7 in Chicago and run through Oct. 7 in Los Angeles. Refunds are available at points of purchase.

In a post on the band's Web site, Chaplin said he was "having to deal with an increasing problem with drink and drugs, and the time has come to get the professional help I need to sort myself out."

"I feel desperately disappointed to be letting down our fans, but I want to get myself right now so that I can be back on the road for the rest of the year," he added.

Although Keane performed over the weekend at the U.K.'s V Festival, it scrapped three recent shows due to Chaplin's "exhaustion." The status of a European tour due to get underway Oct. 17 in Hull, England, is unknown at deadline.

Keane was to be out in support of its sophomore album, "Under the Iron Sea," which debuted at No. 1 on the U.K. album chart and a career-best No. 4 on The Billboard 200.

Official statement: Following last week's announcement that Tom has been diagnosed with exhaustion, he has admitted himself into a private clinic. Tom said, "I've been having to deal with an increasing problem with drink and drugs, and the time has come to get the professional help I need to sort myself out. I feel desperately disappointed to be letting down our fans, but I want to get myself right now so that I can be back on the road for the rest of the year." As a result, the band will be taking a break from touring and some US dates will be postponed. The following dates have been cancelled (refunds should be sought at the point of purchase): 23rd Aug Ibiza Rocks 30th Aug T On The Fringe 31st Aug Vodafone TBA, Dublin The following North American tour dates have been postponed (the rescheduled dates will be posted on the website in the next few days): 7th Sept Chicago 8th Sept Detroit 13th Sept NY, Carnegie Hall 14th Sept NY, Hammerstein 16th Sept Boston 17th Sept Philadelphia 19th Sept Montreal 20th Sept Toronto 25th Sept Atlanta

Es varētu viņu aizvietot, kamēr viņš ārstējas, lai koncertturneja turpinātos. Zinu viņa populāros hītus no galvas, arī mūzikas zināšanas ir.
