Troubled singer Mariah Carey is reportedly the latest celebrity turning to the Kabbalah religion to deal with her troubles.
The sexy New Yorker has regularly been seen wearing a red yarn bracelet - a symbol of the mystical branch of Judaism - according to The Scoop website.
A source says, "It definitely looked like one of those Kabbalah bracelets. They're supposed to absorb negative energy, and Mariah's been surrounded by plenty of that over the last couple of years."
The Kabbalah has been embraced by Madonna, Paris Hilton, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher in recent years. Britney Spears dabbled in the religion briefly following her mentor Madonna's influence, but has since returned to her original faith, Christianity.
The source also told the site, "Carey has new boyfriend, whom she brought on her recent tour of Asia."
Carey's spokeswoman denied the singer was following the Kabbalah, but refused to confirm or deny the reports of Carey's new love. |
