cut your hair short, wear pants and smoke a lot, go to poetry readings, be a fan of communism, dance to swing, debate politics in cafes. an age like a locomotive, it must have been, everyone disillusioned and exhilarated at the same time, taking everything apart like legos and rearranging the pieces back in insane ways, believing in the new, believing in progress, in moving only forward, at an ever increasing speed. |
