"A long, long time ago, back in the 6th Century, Irish Monks travelled to the Middle East where they learnt how to distill perfume.
On their return they invented their own version of distilling, the pot still, which they used to make a new spirit called 'Uisce Beatha' that means 'The Water of Life' which we know today as Whiskey."
