I entered the front gate of my house and saw a cat with three or four tiny kittens, all of them rolling to and fro on the lawn. The cat jumped on the wire fence beside me and looked at me suspiciously.
An Indian housemaid, who had been standing next to me, smiled a golden-tooth smile and told me that it doesn't matter, that while kittens are small, behaviour like this is quite common. I entered the house and it started to rain.
