It's like those guys who pay hundreds of dollars extra to install ultralight carbon fibre or magnesium components onto their bicycles (thereby shaving a few grams off the total weight of the bike) when they themselves are probably a few pounds overweight. Those guys are called 'weight weenies' in the biking community and generally laughed at.
