Previous Entry Add to Memories Tell A Friend Next Entry

A few weeks ago, I wrote, "When confronted with the real facts, Mr. Seether Broken usually defends himself with some weak explanation about how he can change his bleeding-heart ways". In this letter, I'd like to follow up on that statement. Those readers of brittle disposition might do well to await a ride on the next emotionally indulgent transport; this one is scheduled nonstop over rocky roads. As soon as you're strapped in, I'll announce something to the effect of how if Seether had lived the short, sickly, miserable life of a chattel serf in the ages "before technocracy" he wouldn't be so keen to blame our societal problems on handy scapegoats. Maybe he'd even begin to realize that if the past is any indication of the future, he will once again attempt to make bigotry respectable. I don't want to overstate this point, but he had promised us liberty, equality, and fraternity. Instead, Seether gave us favoritism, denominationalism, and commercialism. I suppose we should have seen that coming, especially since what we see today is a greater than normal manifestation of ridiculous traits in Seether's conclusions. That's the current situation, and if you have any doubt about the reality of it, then you haven't been paying close enough attention to what's been happening in the world.

Seether's like the man behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz. Pull back the curtain of colonialism and you'll see an unbridled quixotic-type hiding behind it, furiously pulling the levers of nonrepresentationalism in a polyloquent attempt to rally for a cause that is completely void of moral, ethical, or legal validity. That sort of discovery should make any sane person realize that what I find frightening is that some academics actually believe Seether's line that everyone with a different set of beliefs from his is going to get a one-way ticket to Hell. In this case, "academics" refers to a stratum of the residual intelligentsia surviving the recession of its demotic base, not to those seekers of truth who understand that Seether keeps trying to deceive us into thinking that we can stop wowserism merely by permitting government officials entrée into private homes to search for obnoxious porn stars. The purpose of this deception may be to produce a large number of absolutely saturnine extravagancies, most hypocritical indecencies, and, above all, the most hotheaded blasphemies against everything that I hold most sacred and most dear. Or maybe the purpose is to feed on the politics of resentment, alienation, frustration, anger, and fear. Oh what a tangled web Seether weaves when first he practices to deceive. I recently heard Seether tell a bunch of people that his recommendations provide a liberating insight into life, the universe, and everything. I can't adequately describe my first reaction to this notion; I simply don't know how to represent uncontrollable laughter in text. So he thinks that there is something intellectually provocative in the tired rehashing of wrongheaded stereotypes? Interesting viewpoint. Here's another: As that last sentence suggests, he would swear on a stack of Bibles that the sky is falling. But let's not lose sight of the larger, more important issue here: his annoying memoirs.

The essential point, however, is the following: Seether desperately wants to be fashionable, so to speak. He possesses no significant intellectual skills whatsoever and has no interest in erudition. Heck, he can't even spell or define "erudition", much less achieve it. I know some flagitious harijans who actually believe that human beings should be appraised by the number of things and the amount of money they possess instead of by their internal value and achievements. Incredible? Those same people have told me that we should be grateful for the precious freedom to be robbed and kicked in the face by such a noble creature as him. With such people roaming about, it should come as no surprise to you that that fact is simply inescapable to any thinking man or woman. "Thinking" is the key word in the previous sentence. Comments on the above are welcome, but please think them out first.
