Take Habermas for instance. He is very keen to get his opponents categorized, he wants to know which class of opponent you belong to. He and I had a long discussion and he was very worried whether I was an Aristotelian or a Wittgensteinian, and I said I don't think I'm either Aristotelian or Wittgensteinian and he said: “What are you then?” I was too modest to say: “I'm me”, or something like that so I said, “How about I'm Nietzschean?”, and that really did put the petrol on the fire.
